To decorate or not to decorate....

Today I am surrounded by paint colours from white to off white to antique white to soft white....the list goes on and I am still only on white!
My task is to help decorate a childs room.
Excitement is building but not about the wall colour as it currently has a soft liquorice feature wall with pale blue on the other surrounds which I do like but I thought a freshen up would be good!

It has driven me to check out other sites and bedroom makeovers..

You will notice I am a bit biased towards the red (my favourite colour) for either boys or girls!
Decorating doesnt have to be expensive or difficult. If you have your main furniture and just want to change the wall colours this can be done in a couple of days. Look for sale items for shelving and add some prints or block letters for effect. Curtains can be replaced with blinds and the job is done!

So now back to my pick of white, off white, antique white.......

Well here we are at the beginning of another fabulous year with the sun in the sky and the birds in the trees.
What a journey we had last year at EcoSleep...
We travelled to Hong Kong and New Zealand to set up customers bases, we added more stores to our distribution network in Australia and we consulted for a number of business's here in Melbourne in the Retail sector.
So what now for 2012 I hear you ask?     well...
We hope to design another range but have seen the need for customers to be able to repurchase the existing designs we have so that will still be our focus to allow items to  be available to add to your collection even a year after they were released. I was amazed when a client said this was now a large part of her business with our Coshee sets that her customers knew they could add another cover when a younger sibling entered the bedroom to keep it looking stylish!
We will be adding a few new items for 2012 as we have found some beautiful quilts made with bamboo fibre and others with alpaca both made here in Melbourne and a soft and luxurious addition to your bedroom.

I will be adding many items of interest in whats new in furniture design around the world for upto date bedrooms for all the family.

Well as we move our way through October we are starting to see the Christmas decorations come out and that means the list's need to be written, aunts, uncles and family present's picked and the shopping frenzy starts!

What do you buy for a family member who has the lot? Or the niece or nephew who is into things you have never heard of..Grung, Rad street wear and Justin Beiber!

Why we need some calm in the bedroom!

Creating the right sleep ennvironment means more than just closing the door and turning of the lights.

Have you ever wandered into your bedroom and just sat down and taken in the peaceful feel or are you missing that one important part..Zen calmness.

I have a bedroom that has a large window looking out over the tree tops that catches the afternoon sun. Everyone in the family knows that if they cant find me on a weekend afternoon I will be there curled up on my couch soaking in the sun and peace, book in hand loving my room!

Your bedroom needs to be your haven day and night. You need to surround yourself in colours that soothe the soul, fabrics that are soft and enticing, and quilts that are the right weight..not too hot or not too cool.

It is not a hard thing to acheive when you set out to find one thing at a time and when acheived move on to the next.

The colours that inspire you during the day are not the ones to sleep under as you wont be drawn to sleep!

Mid Year Mayhem

Mid Year Mayhem..

Well it is mid year again and here we are with our skates on getting ready for four massive shows over July and August both here and offshore!

We pull our hair out but we secretly love the hype as we get to chat to so many different groups and meet some wonderful people!

Our first show of the rank is the amazing:

Furnitex..Decoration and Design in Melbourne at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre July 21-24 Stand AH40

We are looking forward to showcasing our beautiful Desert Red bamboo Coshee set as above at this venue.

Our second event is:

Gift and Homewares Trade event at Meblourne Showgrounds August 6-10 and we are in the Grand Pavillion stand G2705.

This is our second show and we love the surrounds as it gives us a chance to show both our natural cottons for children and bamboo for adults.

Our third event is dear to our hearts as we launched into Melbourne for the first time here in 2009..How time flies!

Melbourne Herald Home Show August 18-21 at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.

We love chatting to our very first customers as they still come back to say hi and sometimes show us pics of "where their Coshee is now"

Our fourth show is trans-atlantic and an exciting event as we are here for the second year but with a twist!

This is a beautiful show that showcases some wonderful products from New Zealand, Australia and overseas.
